Description szabog 2002-11-20 23:42:35 UTC
It would be useful to set the aspect ratio of the cropped area. (e.g. most
digital camera takes 3:4 ratio picture, and the standard photo formats are
usually differents, for example 2:3)
Comment 1 Dave Neary 2002-11-21 08:42:15 UTC
There's a straightforward workaround for this - make a selection with
a fixed aspect ratio (check "Fixed size/ratio" in the selection tool
options), and then in the crop tool crop from selection. Since this
workaround is *so* straightforward, I suggest closing thos as WONTFIX.
However, if other people think this enhancement would be worth it, it
could be considered for 1.3.

Cheers,
Dave.

I knew this sounded familiar... see comments on bug 61094 on this
topic already. I still think it's not worth adding.

Dave.
