Description Anna Marie Dirks 2002-11-18 22:53:13 UTC
Regards,

I was wondering if you'd consider letting the text-area associated with the
"Label:" label on the first tab of the glade2 "Properties" window grow
vertically as its parent window is enlarged. (Yes, it already grows
horizontally).

The problem right now is that when trying to enter a long label into that
text-area, I very quickly lose sight of the whole label because only a tiny
bit of it is visible. This makes it hard to find and edit specific phrases.
Further, since my laptop has a rather small screen, it can be difficult to
stretch the window wide enough to read the whole label without the window
getting so wide that it interferes with the rest of my work.

Indeed, if that text box could also grow vertically, my problems editting
long labels would be ameliorated.

Thanks for your consideration.

I don't think it is easy to let it grow vertically, but I'll check.

The other option is to add a '...' button on the right of the field
which pops up a dialog with a bigger text widget in it.
