Chris-

Is this referring to "Chapter 10: Multiple Currencies"?

Or, by "Currency Trading", you are talking about an investment?
Buying and selling currencies.
Comment 2 Chris Lyttle 2003-07-28 03:20:15 UTC
Yeah investment trading of currencies. But this was more a 'anyone who
feels like doing currency doc's fix this bug' bug

Any suggestions to what it should contain?

Currency trading, could that be the same as

* Doing a currency transfer to another bank account (with another currency), and a service charge.
* Manually setting the Exchange Rate, since you will get one specifically from the bank for this transaction
* online updates of quotes...
* Another currency transfer to another bank account later

How to record the Capital Gains?
1) A normal Currency Transaction with the new accurate exchange rate....
***** not possible to check capital gain/loss
2) Do the reverse currency transaction with the same exchange rate as when you purchased it.
Do a second transaction with transfering money between Income:Capital Gain and you bank account?

Comment 5 Bengt Thuree 2006-04-28 03:00:16 UTC
On second thoughts...

Probably do the same as for selling a stock...

Looking at the Tutorial documentation at this time, it appears that this bug's primary point has been addressed, although I am not in a position to determine whether the documentation that now exists meets user needs.

Can this be closed?
