Package: gnome-panel Severity: major Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Gnome panel crashes after login Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: After logging in, I get an error saying Gnome panel has crashed at process number 1040. After clicking cancel, it comes up again with process #1066, then 1071, 1076, 1081, 1086, and so on until about the 1100's when it stops and there is no Gnome panel. This started happening after my mouse went haywire and I may have inadvertently done something to the panel. When I login as root the panel works fine. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. not sure 2. 3. Actual Results: Expected Results: How often does this happen? every time I login Additional Information: I can get it to log out if I press alt-f1 quick enough after pressing cancel on the error dialog. But after the dialogs stop coming, I can't get to the panel to restart. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 1040)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
