Local paths with 8-bit chars cannot be called from dropdown history
Last modified: 2003-02-15 18:52:20 UTC
Package: galeon Severity: normal Version: 1.2.6 Synopsis: Local paths with 8-bit chars cannot be called from dropdown history Bugzilla-Product: galeon Bugzilla-Component: general Description: Description of Problem: When accessing a local path with 8-bit-characters in it, Galeon stores these characters with % escapement. If one wants to revisit the path using the drop-down history, Galeon can't find the file. Normal history works. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit a local path that has an eight-bit character in it. 2. Go elsewhere, and begin typing the path again. 3. Select the destination from the dropdown. Actual Results: Galeon can't find the file. Expected Results: Galeon finds the file. Additional Info: I tested this on an ext3 filesystem under Linux. I don't use UTF-8 for filenames. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-11-10 09:09 ------- Unknown version 1.2.x in product galeon. Setting version to the default, "unspecified". Reassigning to the default owner of the component, galeon-maint@bugzilla.gnome.org.

Wrong bug, sorry
Due to lack of human resources to fully support the GNOME 1.x version of galeon these bugs are going to remain unfixed for the life of galeon 1.x. Please upgrade to the latest releases of the development series targeted at GNOME2 and report the same issues if they are still present. Thanks
