Hello,

I have created a patch for customizing the splash screen. This was created
for the Debian Desktop project, so we can easily subsitute our own splash
screen by default.

Is this OK to apply?

Colin: um, that's not a patch ... This has also been in HEAD for a
while now. See bug #57151

Anyways, I'm glad to see this functionality is already in HEAD.
