GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 97407
gnomecal dies when launching
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-pim Severity: critical Version: 1.4.6 Synopsis: gnomecal dies when launching Bugzilla-Product: gnome-pim Bugzilla-Component: gnomecal Description: Occasionally, gnomecal will die when launching. To work around the problem, I've tried removing/nulling the ~/.gnome/user-cal.vcf file, but doing so had no effect. The problem appears to be random. My guess is one or more memory addresses allocated to gnomecal during its initialization are erroneously assumed to contain specific values (for example, all zeros), and - just by chance - the majority of the time this assumption is correct. Re-examining gnome's initialization routine may uncover the problem. Debugging Information: (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...
