Description kain 2002-10-30 02:48:52 UTC
This is the round-about way to delete the folder
with all of your moms pictures in it:

1. create directories ~/test/mom, ~/test/mom/mom,
~/test/mom/mom/pics, ~/test/mom/mom/music.
2. Now, you want to move the contents of
~/test/mom/mom/* to ~/test/mom. So, you >>cut<<
~/test/mom/mom.
3. You >>paste<< into ~/test/mom.
4. You get "...would you like to replace it".
5. As unsuspecting user, you select "replace"
(being used to the windows merge)

Actual Results:
"file not found ... continue"
and
all moms are deleted.

Expected Results:
have folder ~/test/mom, ~/test/mom/pics and
~/test/mom/music

How often does this happen?
everytime

Additional Information:
gentoo 1.4rc1
kernel 2.4.19
gnome 2.02
nautilus 2.0.7

this is windows style merging, nautilus uses mac style though we are
considering switching for obvious reasons.
