Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-terminal Severity: normal Version: 2.0.1 Synopsis: gnome-terminal crashes Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.4) Description: Description of Problem: While executing any random command (eg. it has crashed while using the "ls -l", "dir", "emacs", at any random time pretty much), gnome-terminal crashes. However, right before it crashes, my harddrive begins to run like crazy, and as I monitor the swap space, it fills up almost entirely. I have 512Megs of RAM, and my swap space is about the same size. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open up gnome-terminal 2. type commands, eg. ls -l, dir, etc. 3. if you are lucky, once every now and then gnome-terminal will crash. Actual Results: gnome-terminal crashes, but right before it does, the harddrive swaps like crazy. Expected Results: it should not crash. How often does this happen? randomly Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-terminal' [New Thread 1024 (LWP 1686)] 0x409c6369 in __wait4 () at __wait4:-1 in __wait4
