gnome-panel crashes when logging in, if on the right side of desktop

Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: gnome-panel crashes when logging in, if on the right side of desktop Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: I set the gnome panel to be on the right side of the desktop (instead of being on the bottom). All works OK at first. But if I log out and log in again, gnome panel crashes as soon as I log in. All attemts to start it again result in a crash. The endresult is an annoying window asking me if I want to try again (which always results in a crash) or report a bug report. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Set gnome panel to be on the right side of the desktop 2. log out 3. log in Actual Results: gnome panel crashes at logging in, or any other subsequent attempt to start it. Expected Results: it should start normally How often does this happen? always Additional Information: I'm using RedHat 8.0, gnome-panel-2.0.6-9 Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 1598)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
