Description Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-10-08 22:01:15 UTC
the current menu titles could use some changes

s/file/terminal

gnome terminal doesn't do work on files so file is a bad title, terminal is
better. this is consistent with the hig recommendation as well.

What to do with the existing terminal menu.
I recommend moving reset and clear into the edit menu, since these menu
options basically edit the current terminal view. Profile and set title
could probably be moved into the view menu view, since they affect how the
current terminal is viewed. These are both kind of stretching it but i
think thats ok.

oh and s/go/tabs but thats another bug i already have open....
Comment 1 Havoc Pennington 2002-10-08 22:22:17 UTC
Hmm, I'm not a big fan of the stretching it ideas for the existing
Terminal menu. Maybe someone can think of a name for the existing
Terminal menu?
Comment 2 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-10-08 22:28:26 UTC
well at least we partially agree :)

I actually don't think its stretching that far to tell you the
truth, but lets see what calum says cuz i'm always open to suggestions...

Comment 3 Calum Benson 2002-10-21 17:14:17 UTC
I'm pretty sure I already filed a few bugs/comments about what I
thought about the gnome-terminal menus :) #65564 and #76800 cover
most of it I think...
Comment 4 Luis Villa 2002-11-18 18:32:23 UTC
Calum, should we close this one in favor of those two then?
Comment 5 Calum Benson 2002-11-22 14:54:28 UTC
Sure, Dave can always add his comments there instead if he thinks
they're not already represented :)
