Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Adding Notification Area crashes Gnome Panel Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: When I try to add a Notification Area to the Gnome Panel, the Panel crashes Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Right click on a Gnome panel 2. Go to Add->Applet->Notification Area 3. Actual Results: Gnome Panel Crashes Expected Results: Should load up the Notification Area Applet (this works on my other RedHat 8.0 system) How often does this happen? Every single time. Additional Information: I've upgraded two different boxes from RedHat 7.3 to 8.0, and on this system, the Gnome Panel crashes when trying to add the Notification Area, on my other system, it works perfectly. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 31566)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
