Description post 2002-09-26 14:29:19 UTC
Description of Problem:
Popup menus work OK, then after some use they stop
working. "killall rep; killall rep" fixes problem.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Bindings:
  F11 - Popup window list
  F12 - Popup root menu
Press F11, click outside menu, press F12, press
ESC etc. a few times (2-10?). Suddenly, no menus
work. Instead, pressing for instance F11 gives a beep.
Killing process shown by ps as
'rep /usr/lib/sawfish/2.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/sawfish-menu'
makes menus work again.

> rep-config --version
0.16
> sawfish --version
sawfish version 2.0

I can't reproduce this - do you see any error messages printed to
sawfish's error stream?
Comment 2 post 2002-09-27 09:25:03 UTC
> sawfish
Error: Menu already active
Error: Menu already active
Error: Menu already active
[...]

ps:
 6387 pts/1 S 0:01 \_ sawfish
 6398 pts/1 S 0:00 \_ rep
/usr/lib/sawfish/2.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/sawfish-menu

> kill -9 6398
Then, menus work for a short while again.

A bit more detailed:
1) I press F11, menu pops up. (works 1 to 20 times)
2) I press F11, then nothing happens at all.
3) I press F11 again. Then I hear a beep and get the error message
("Error: Menu already active").
4) This coninues.

Can't seem to figure out what exactly triggers the hangup, though.
