Havoc: it seems you need certain permissions to view that redhat bug,
so i can't really comment on it, but from the title i think this bug
is most likely a dupe or close relative of bug 74997.
Comment 2 Havoc Pennington 2002-09-27 13:30:14 UTC
Woops, permissions fixed. This one is about the "remove from panel"
item on the right-click menu. I'm not sure if that's a dup of the
other or not.

I have noticed that if I hit MB3 on mouse over the gnome-panel in
order to change properties, it usually sits on the "Remove from panel"
button. If I decide not to change the properties or I accidently
release the button it removes my panel object. Now I have to find and
re-add the object. I may be clumsy, but this has happened to me 3 or
4 times now.

Okay, I've made this a bit better by fixing bug 70502 (not just for
applets but for launchers and things).
