Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general Description: I ssh'd from an IRIX box to a RH7.3 box & tried to run gnome-terminal. It issues the following error messages in the ssh terminal window: The font "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*-1" does not support all the required character sets for the current locale "en_US.iso885915" (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") The font "-misc-fixed-bold-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-*-1" does not support all the required character sets for the current locale "en_US.iso885915" (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") The font "adobe-courier-bold-o-normal" does not support all the required character sets for the current locale "en_US.iso885915" (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") (Missing character set "ISO8859-15") I tried telling it to use a different font: gnome-terminal --font=adobe-courier-bold-o-normal with the same result. I'm not sure this is a bug, other than the general architectural breakage of the 1.4 terminal and traditional X fonts. You don't have a font for your locale... If you uncheck "use multibyte support" in prefs (given new enough gnome-terminal) or just try the "fixed" font it might work.
