GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 93741
Auto-scrolling weirdness when error dialog pops up
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
I don't know if this is a Gnome2 bug, sorry. I have many Gnome2 libs installed on my machine. I have two Galeon windows open. One of them is trying to access a web site which is taking a while to respond. Meanwhile, I am reading a document in the other. In the window I am reading, I have auto-scrolling active. I have auto-scrolling enabled on my middle mouse button. The cursor is in "East-West-North-South arrows mode" when all of a sudden the second window pops up an error dialog to the effect that "operation has timed out ...". The only thing Galeon will accept now is a click on the "OK" button in that error dialog, but the cursor is stuck in "East-West-North-South" mode and I am unable to click the OK. Also, I cannot go back to the first window to get out of the auto-scroll mode because the error dialog is blocking everyting. Fortunately, it occurred to me to just hit the Return key on the keyboard, but this is not an obvious escape route. Just thougth I'd mention it. Keep up the great work. Gisli
