Were do I go to get a patch to fix this problem?
Nowhere. We still haven't found the cause of the crash. We know what's happening, but still nobody has had time/knowledge to come up with a fix. Look at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59500 towards the end for a description of the problem that was sent to the lists a while back also. Thanks.
