Description of Problem:
panel crashes during startup with RedHat 7.3 and 
gives the following error message:
"Application "panel" (process 1210) has crashed 
due to a fatal error (Segmentation fault)

computer still functions, but has either no panel 
or a blank grey panel at the bottom of the 
screen. After 5 attempts at booting-up, the panel 
has loaded correctly 1 time.

Please try the latest gnome-libs and gnome-core release. This should
be fixed there.
