GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 90598
Launchers within drawers load up in reverse order
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Description of Problem: Launchers that are within drawers seem to get their order reversed when Gnome starts up again. I have only tested this with two drawers on a corner panel (on left side of screen), but I imagine it's the same on any panel. I created two drawers, one for Internet stuff, one for useful programs, and I arranged things in the following order: Internet: Balsa, Pan, Mozilla, aMSN, gFTP Programs: gEdit, XMMS, Xine, Xpad, Gaddr When I restarted Gnome, the drawers instead looked like: Internet: gFTP, aMSN, Mozilla, Pan, Balsa Programs: Gaddt, Xpad, Xine, XMMS, gEdit I didn't realize at first that things were reversed, but just assumed that it was related to the problem that caused my corner panel to be scrambled every time I restarted (which has since been fixed)... eventually after a couple of restarts, I realized stuff is just backwards. This is from gnome-panel 2.0.6
Fixed by: 2002-08-14 Mark McLoughlin <mark@skynet.ie> * applet.c: (panel_applet_save_position): don't save the position backwards if it isn't a packed panel. The saved position only has the effect of ordering the applets on packed panels, not actually specifying the position. Fixes #90598.

This is still not fixed. Now I get the icons shifted by one instead of the reverse order that I got before. I am running Mandrake cooker, and the panel about says it is v2.0.6.
Reopening : in gnome-2-0 branch, the first two entries in drawer are swapped...
