System: linux 7.2 running on an Intel Xeon.

Upon startup (main menu -> programs -> applications -> calendar)
an error window pops up:
'Application "gnomecal" has crashed due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)

If I start is from a terminal (/usr/bin/gnomecal), the 
terminal also issues warnings about missing fonts.
