Description Lars Weber 2002-07-15 23:14:40 UTC
I think it would be a nice productivity-enhancing feature if turning the
mouse-wheel with the pointer over the brush-(or pattern/gradient) preview
at the bottom right of the gimp main window would cycle through all the
available brushes/patterns/gradients. This way it would be possible to
constantly change brush-sizes (for example) without having the brush dialog
opened at all.
Comment 1 Sven Neumann 2002-10-24 20:34:16 UTC
I guess this would interfere with scrolling since that's what's bound
to the mouse wheel by default.
Comment 2 Lars Weber 2002-10-25 15:59:55 UTC
I'm not sure I understand you correctly here. There's nothing to
scroll in the main Gimp window AFAICT so are you talking about an
implementation issue? Or do you think it would break the user model
if the mouse-wheel did anything else then scrolling?
Comment 3 Sven Neumann 2002-10-25 18:26:56 UTC
I think I've misunderstood you...

The idea is not that bad, but in GIMP-1.3 there can be lots of
scrollable stuff in the toolbox and the brush/gradient/pattern
previews are about to die anyway,
Comment 4 Lars Weber 2002-10-25 20:06:02 UTC
Ok, I understand... feel free to close this bug then.
