Description mawarkus 2002-07-09 07:39:26 UTC
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: normal
Version: 2.0.1
Synopsis: Panel forgets launcher position
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: Panel

Description:
I've got a sliding panel in the lower right corner of my desktop. From
left to right, following items are in the panel:
- gnome-terminal launcher
- charpick applet
- fish applet
- desktop chooser applet
- Galeon launcher

Problem is, I'd like to have the Galeon launcher up front, to the right
of the gnome-terminal launcher. When I middle-click-drag the Galeon
launcher there and log out, at next login the Galeon launcher has
gravitated back to the end of the panel. Seems like the panel is unable
to remember its position for some reason.

This is a known bug that afflicts everything except edge panels.
