Description Ettore Perazzoli 2002-07-07 14:48:31 UTC
This is quite strange. I have been using Galeon for quite a while with
Flash support, now all of a sudden it stopped working. It is possible that
something messed up after I switched from the Ximian packages for
Galeon/Mozilla to the Debian ones.

Anyways, the problem is that every time I open a web page with some kind of
Flash content, Galeon just quits, writing the following to stdout:

Error: Object "drawingArea" does not have windowed ancestor

Note that the same pages work fine with Mozilla.

The problem happens with both 1.2.5 (from Debian Unstable) and 1.2.0 (from
Debian Woody).

Oh, and of course, if I remove the flash plugin files from
~/.mozilla/plugins, Galeon doesn't crash when I visit those pages.
