Description scott 2002-07-02 13:30:54 UTC
Package: galeon
Severity: normal
Version: 1.2.0
Synopsis: Dragging bookmark and dialogue causes mouse lockup.
Bugzilla-Product: galeon
Bugzilla-Component: User interface

Description:
If I have my Bookmarks Editor open, and a browser window open, I'm able
to lock the mouse (and for the mostpart, the keyboard too) with the
following steps:

1) Type in an address in the browser that doesn't exist,
"www.awebsitethatdoesnotexist.com" works fine.
2) Bring the Bookmarks Editor into focus and begin dragging a bookmark
entry. Wait.
3) When the dialogue notifying the website wasn't found, your mouse will
be locked in drag & drop mode. The only way out is by pressing "escape"
and closing the dialogue box. In sawfish, this box didn't have focus or
context, so it took a bit to figure out escape would do the trick.

is this still valid?
Comment 3 Crispin Flowerday (not receiving bugmail) 2005-05-16 19:13:59 UTC
Yes, it's caused by 2 objects (in this case dnd and the dialog) trying to
capture the input focus.
