Description Moray Allan 2002-06-26 02:57:44 UTC
I'm having frequent problems with images in GNOME 2 applications.

As an example, when I open the panel menu, often the icons for the menu
entries don't get drawn until I mouse over each item and highlight it.

Unfortunately, I haven't spotted any pattern to when this problem occurs.

A probably-related problem is that file icons in Nautilus sometimes don't
get drawn. I've occasionally seen icons drawn, but in incorrect positions
(see as an example http://www-jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk/~mma29/temp/broken.png
), which may suggest that in the more common case the icons are actually
being drawn, but off-screen.

Although I've only seen this bug in GNOME 2 applications, I'm not convinced
if GTK+ is really to blame - do you have any suggestions?

Matrox card, right? This is a XFree86 bug.
Comment 2 Moray Allan 2002-06-26 15:10:22 UTC
Yes, this is indeed on a Matrox card (I hadn't been sure about blaming
X seen I'd only seen the problem with GTK+ 2).

Thanks.
