Description:
hmm not sure I can reproduce it. Okay then, having run for some time as the same user including upgrades from 7.1 to 7.2 to 7.3, actually logged in as a different user - reconfigured panel there to be Gnome (default was "Default" - whatever that is)

Later logged out and logged back in as my normal user - panel crashed - launched Bug Buddy. Hopefully I'll kill the X session and it'll restart okay.

This bug only plagues gnome-core 1.4.0.4, as far as I can tell. 
Upgrading to the current stable release should fix things for you.
