Description jdbeard 2002-06-22 17:14:52 UTC
Pan under KDE3.0 obtained from the Mandrake Linux site.

I have a login account set up on my machine for Japanese locale. The first
time I
loaded Pan within this login, it came up fine. The next time I loaded it,
Pan crashed
during the load.

I tried to tinker with settings found under $HOME/.pan and $HOME/.kde,
to no avail. I then used rm -rf .pan to remove all Pan files within my home
directory.

The next time I loaded Pan, it came up fine. But when I exited and tried
to load it again, once again the crash, with a segmentation violation error
message.

Any idea what might be the problem? Any suggestions on what to try or look
for?

The machine is a Gateway Pentium 4, 1.6 GHz, with Linux on a second
hard drive. WinME (rarely used) is on the first HD. I think the Mandrake 8.2
is for i586 rather than i686, but maybe I got the first version where some
packages were compiled (in error) for the i686.

This was fixed in 0.11.3. If you're seeing this in later releases,
please re-open this bugreport.
