Description Ken Deeter (Kentarou Shinohara) 2002-06-18 05:05:58 UTC
The icon view does not affect the tree view.

The folder tree view does not update its location when it is not the source
of a location change. IE if one double clicks on a folder using the icon
view or list view, the tree view does not expand to show the contents of
that fodler just opened.

It DOES work the other way around though.. clicking on folders in the tree
view does affect the icon view.

Expected behavior:

Say there are a few folders in the tree view

/
/a
/b
/c
/c/d
/c/e
/c/f

and the subtree for /c is initially collapsed, so /c/d, /c/e, and /c/f are
not visible. If a user selects the entry for /c in the tree view, then the
icon view shows the contents of /c. Now say the user opens /c/d by clicking
on the icon in the icon view, the tree view should update by expanding the
subtree for /c, and also moving the selection to /c/d.
