Description trust_kno_1 2002-06-13 15:35:30 UTC
Package: panel
Version:
Severity:

>Synopsis: panel / gnome crash
>Class: sw-bug
System: RedHat 7.3 -default install - 233mhz,60mb RAM, 4mb video.

>Description:
Everytime I boot into gnome my panel crashes and all applications become buggy so I have recently switched to wmaker. any applications being launched for gnome crash. I re-installed thinking it was a config problem, but the problem persists.

This seems like a serious bug many have had. If you need any logs (which ones?) please e-mail me.

>How-To-Repeat:
In this case I ran xchat from the wmaker start menu but all that file is, is a link to 'exec xchat' in an e-term. This will happen with most gnome applications under any window manager.

Please try gnome-libs-1.4.1.7 and gnome-core-1.4.0.8 or newer. Report
back here if this fixes the problem or not.
