Pressing the "Del" key will add "." (fullstops) in the all the searchtool
text fields (Starting in folder, Find files named & all rules text fields
on Advanced tab).
Comment 1 Glynn Foster 2002-06-12 14:38:43 UTC
Hum, another one I can't repeat...maybe my build is not recent enough.
Comment 2 John Fleck 2002-06-12 14:50:38 UTC
This only happens for me when numlock is set, as it should.
Linux, searchthing 1.108.0
Comment 3 Glynn Foster 2002-06-12 14:57:31 UTC
Damn, there's 2 delete keys on a solaris keyboard [sigh].
Anyway, John is correct here. Closing.
Comment 4 Shane O'Connor 2002-06-12 15:09:51 UTC
so the expected behaviour for the 'non-number-pad' del key when num
lock is on is to print "." instead of deleting? this isn't what
happens in any text editor or browser or any other text field that
I've tried it in - i'm not sure that this should be closed - i reckon
this is a bug -

Luis?
Comment 5 Glynn Foster 2002-06-12 15:17:52 UTC
It's non-number pad? eurgh. I guess this is a problem with gtk, and
whatever patches we are using.
Owen you can ignore this one for the moment until we figure out who's
fault it is.
Comment 6 Shane O'Connor 2002-06-12 15:23:23 UTC
this behaviour is also present in gdict
Comment 7 Owen Taylor 2002-06-12 21:37:17 UTC
Is this not basically the same thing as bug 79184?
Comment 8 Glynn Foster 2002-06-17 12:30:31 UTC
Yup, I think so...just checking first though.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 79184 ***
Comment 9 Shane O'Connor 2002-07-02 15:42:23 UTC
so this is specific to sun keyboards?
Comment 10 Shane O'Connor 2002-07-29 10:33:39 UTC
this appears to be fixed in a build form 25th July - closing
