GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 84536
replace mem chunks by trash stacks
Last modified: 2011-02-18 16:13:45 UTC
Tim said that he wants to do this since mem chunks are too slow.
How to improve the allocation caching we do certainly could use some investigation; you can't just s/mem chunks/trash stacks/ though. We usually already have "trash stacks" in front of memchunks where its crucial, and in other places, you'd probably just want to s/mem chunks/malloc/.
Whatever; I just saw this in an old gtk-devel thread an wanted to get it into bugzilla.
