Description mjt 2002-06-07 06:59:05 UTC
Package: gnome-core
Severity: normal
Version: 1.4.0.4
Synopsis: GNOME Panel crash
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-core
Bugzilla-Component: panel

Description:
I have gnome as the default window manager/desktop environment
on a T21 (IBM) Laptop, and the panel sometimes crashes on startup.
Noted that rm -rf ~/.gnome helps, MAYBE!, not a permanent solution.
panel can be started from a terminal ok.
The problem is not with this laptop, it's common on T21s running
RedHat 7.2

This is a known problem that is being worked on. I think we can
probably safely assume that your other bug (bug 84459) is also this
problem, rather than bug 69333.
