When opening console apps like mc or "emacs -nw" the old text does not seem
to clear, leaving a bad mish mash of what WAS on the terminal and what
SHOULD be on the terminal.. attaching a screenshot.

I ran 'emacs -nw' and 'mc' in ja locale. Screen
shot of "mc" is attached. Marking this bug fixed
for now. Please reopen if anyone see 'mc' or
'emacs -nw' output getting weired on libzvt-i18n
branch.
