1. install GNOME2
2. reboot computer

panel crash

panel to function properly

Additional Information:
After installing GNOME2, I rebooted the computer. The panell crashed.
Therefore, I switched to the KDE desktop.
After switching to the KDE desktop. I could not switch back to GNOME.
Therefore, I deleted the files for the KDE Server. This got me back to
the GNOME desktop.
However, there were no panels, so one was created. Then I added an edge
panel.
After that, I decided to select a theme. There were only three themes.
Therefore, I went to the theme folder. That is when the panel crashed.
