Description m.vernimmen 2002-05-27 21:08:19 UTC
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: critical
Version: 1.4.0.4
Synopsis: gnome-panel crashes
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: Panel

Description:
the gnome-panel crashes each time I try to start xwindows.
it either sits there being empty, or doesn't appear at all. xfree86 logs to console "ome panel is not running".

This behaviour started after a power outage on my redhat7.3 fresh install while working in X.

I have no idea how to fix this.. please get back to me?

Comment 1 Kjartan Maraas 2002-05-28 10:12:04 UTC
Please try gnome-libs-1.4.1.7 and gnome-core-1.4.0.8 or newer. I've
made RPMs available at http://www.gnome.org/~kmaraas if you can make
use of those. Report back here if this solves the problem for you or not.
