Encountered this in all GARNOME releases from at least 0.9.8 on:

- open Window Appearance capplet
- click on theme combobox dropdown button
- upon hovering with the mouse pointer above a theme item, that item will
be instant-applied (this is instant-apply taken too far)
- move quickly with the mouse pointer over the items. The UI freezes hard
and X has to be killed.
