Description Steve Tyler 2002-05-22 19:01:56 UTC
Create a new launcher (on the desktop in this case), specify a file to
execute in /usr/bin, upon selecting, the following dialog appears:

Sorry, but you can't execute commands from a remote site due to security
         considerations.
Comment 1 John Fleck 2002-05-23 01:57:07 UTC
I can't duplicate this. (version 1.1.16)
Comment 2 Anders Carlsson 2002-05-23 15:27:57 UTC
is your /usr/bin nfs mounted?
Comment 3 Steve Tyler 2002-05-23 17:30:45 UTC
Could you try with 1.1.17 (that's the version I have currently).

My home directory is NFS mounted but /usr/bin isn't.

Not needinfo either. Grr. Sorry for the spam- I've got fumblefingers
tonight.
Comment 8 Alex Graveley 2002-06-14 02:35:24 UTC
Steve, is this still occuring with latest nautilus? A laucher in an
NFS folder which executes a local command works as expected for me.
Comment 9 Dave Camp 2002-06-18 18:03:58 UTC
Anders fixed this on 5-24, after 1.1.17 and before 1.1.18.
