I have a number of images created with an older version of Photoshop. Given
that they do not open at all in Mozilla, they are clearly damaged somehow.
However, GIMP does manage to open them and they look fine. EOG tries, but
ends up producing banding. Since the files are (probably) broken, you might
not want to bother fixing this, but I thought I'd give you the chance if
you're interested ;-)

It seems to me that this is a duplicate of bug #61211, which reports
problems with 4 channel jpegs. BTW: Do you use the development branch
of Gimp? My stable version refuses to load 4 channel jpegs.
