Description Sam Thursfield 2018-08-31 18:23:14 UTC
Hi
The GUADEC 2018 videos are all edited and uploaded to YouTube.

We want them saved at https://videos.guadec.org/2018 as well. We think the simplest way to do this is to download the videos from YouTube using the youtube-dl program[1].

So, if possible, please run this command on the videos.guadec.org server to fetch the videos:

    youtube-dl 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DNPxI2LH-c&list=PLkmRdYgttscGT51fVXS1wR6ifOxc35W8e' --format 22

All the unedited video data at http://videos.guadec.org/2018/raw/ can now be deleted.

Thanks!
Sam

Sam, all done [1]. Do you need backups of these videos as well or the YouTube copy is enough?

Great, thanks!

The vids are on YouTube and also on an external hard disk in my house, that's probably enough redundancy that we don't need a further backup.
