Description Fei 2018-06-19 07:20:03 UTC
This is an Intel feature requirement.

The Video driver will have a VPP input method for (90, 180, 270 degrees) rotation.

AFAIK, this only works in the media-driver, thus I think this is related with
bug 794843

Related in a way that both are only supported in media-driver :)

Maybe it is a good idea to create a meta-bug and track all the feature requests
against gstreamer-vaapi which are only supported in the new media-diver.

It really looks terrible to start adding features that will only ever work on specific Intel drivers. Please make sure applications can detect this, with some flags or something similar.

We have the query mechanism already in gstreamer-vaapi.
