GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 796415
binary files can't be executed >= Android 5.0 without PIE flags
Last modified: 2018-11-03 10:23:43 UTC
The error message I got this that, without PIE, executable files can't run from Android 5.0 https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24818902/running-a-native-library-on-android-l-error-only-position-independent-executab The above link shows a way to solve this problem, but I found I can't add it to LDFLAGS simply. I would upload a patch when I am success. I am verified it at Android 7.1, rockchip rk3368 platform.
