Description François Guerraz 2018-05-22 14:18:13 UTC
(Downstream bug https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/58416 )

After upgrading "networkmanager-openvpn" from 1.8.1dev+9+gf9e2fd5-1 to 1.8.2-1 on Arch x64, NetworkManager sometimes lets old openvpn connections linger around and they interfere with new connections.

I periodically have to
sudo pkill openvpn -9

There was no problem pre 1.8.2.

This was fixed by:

https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-openvpn/commit/?id=0f4ae722034df25139434ae40de322803a2753a7

The fix is available in NetworkManager-openvpn 1.8.4.
