GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 796131
Gnome Power Manager status freeze and does not update
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:14:51 UTC
Sometimes battery status freeze on some state (for example Discharging, x%). This causes laptop hard shutdown. So I have to periodically look for status changes to know is it freeze or not. How I can understand that Upower does not get updated status from ACPI. Internet give me some workaround (run "acpi -V" to manually update status).
Adding "acpi_osi=Linux" to boot kernel options solves this problem for me.
