GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 796049
When Import Map Editor is open it should prevent other windows from opening.
Last modified: 2018-06-30 00:09:52 UTC
I had the Import Map Editor tool open while providing feedback on another ticket and to a mailing list discussion. I went to look at my preferences. I couldn't make a selection, I couldn't Close the window using the button at lower right, I couldn't close the window using the red button provided by the OS. Eventually realized that this was because the Import Map Editor tool was still open. Seems that opening other windows that will be nonfunctional should be blocked in this situation. Might be a more general window management bug/improvement than this specific case. Thanks, Eric
Thanks for taking the time to report this. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. It may not be very obvious but this is a variation of the issues described in the duplicate bug. I could reproduce your situation by first opening the Preferences window. With that open, one can still make menu selections on the main gnucash window and opening the import map editor this way. The import map editor window is much more strict and won't allow interaction any other open dialog or window. Another side effect of the transient window story... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 794853 ***
