GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 795984
ver. 2.10 File Manager doesn't list folders/files when the drive selection is clicked on.
Last modified: 2018-05-09 21:39:17 UTC
Click on "File" on the menu bar Select "Open" from drop down menu Click to select desired drive "places" -- no files or folders are listed In the drop down menu "Select which type of files are shown" choose "All Files" In the "Select File Type" drop down menu, select "Automatically Detected" One must enter text in the "Location" box in order to get to the proper folder/file(s). This isn't an efficient way to get to the proper files/folder particularly because a lot of typing is involved, and also the exact folder name, or file name may not be remembered. There is no way to navigate from the root drive to folders to files other than typing the information into the location box. This isn't acceptable. If the way the file manager is currently working is, as intended, I think it is unacceptable, and I will revert to the prior 2.8 version since this doesn't work properly in the 2.10 version.
In the drop down menu "Select which type of files are shown" choose "All Files" -- no files or folders are listed In the "Select File Type" drop down menu, select "Automatically Detected" -- no files or folders are listed
