GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 795912
Top Bar Date Format Does Not Reflect Language & Region Settings (Ubuntu 18.04 Minimal Installation)
Last modified: 2018-05-08 18:28:06 UTC
Created attachment 371791 [details] screenshot of Language & Region Settings I set Language & Region Settings for the UK (as per attached screenshot), with dates and times format shown as: 'Tue 8 May 2018 07:35:55 BST' However, the Top Bar shows the date and time in format: 'Tue May 8, 07:35:55' The date and time formats shown in the Top Bar should be taken from the user specified Language & Region Settings. Additionally, custom formats should be supported out-of-the-box, perhaps in the form of: Python's http://strftime.org/ format directives. Current work-around is to install a gnome shell extension (e.g. Clock Override, Datetime Format, etc.
