Description Paul G 2018-04-26 21:57:07 UTC
It might be useful for Finance::Quote to be able to retrieve individual quotes rather than quotes for all securities tagged (in the Securities Editor). Perhaps a new button "Get Selected Quotes" could be provided on the Price Editor dialog.

This could be useful to recover from a failure to retrieve quotes for one or two securities, rather than having to retrieve everything.

Additionally, when there are a lot of quotes being gathered, it can take quite some time. It would be useful to provide some indication of progress (either a progress bar, or display which security is currently being processed). This will give the user some indication that it's actually working, and some idea on how much longer it might take.

Finally, it would be useful to be able to Cancel the retrieval of quotes; if there are a lot of them, the user might want to retry later, especially if there is substantial network congestion! The ability to Cancel should also have an option to store or discard any quotes already retrieved.
