Hi Daniel, thanks for taking the time to report this. This particular issue has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 721967 ***
Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to redirect me to the correct bug report thread. The thing is, the notification was showing, but once updated it's not showing anymore, so I'm not sure if this is a duplicated bug. Thank you so much, Daniel
Oh I see! So it sounds like you upgraded Geary (to 0.12.x?) and it stopped working? Which version did you upgrade from, and where did you install it from? The PPA? Flathub? I don't think Geary ever had a status icon, so I'm wondering what you could have been seeing. Does Ubuntu Budgie support Unity-style messaging menu icons?
Yes that's it! If I do not remember it wrong, the previous version was 0.12-dev (the version that comes with Ubuntu Budgie), I did installed it from the Geary repository in a .deb file (as far as I remember, my memory is really bad!) I reinstalled the system to reproduce the issue, but now i'm not being able to reproduce the bug, so perhaps it was just my imagination (even if I really doubt it). About the last question, I really have no idea about it, I tried googleing it but found no answers. Thank you for your help!
Okay, no problem! I'll close this for the moment then, if it happens again feel free to re-open the bug.
