Description joe 2002-04-22 18:14:30 UTC
Package: balsa
Severity: major
Version: 1.3.4
Synopsis: Balsa crashes after spellchecking
Bugzilla-Product: balsa
Bugzilla-Component: general

Description:
Multiple versions including current version of balsa all crash *sometimes* after running spellcheck. Tedious to reproduce, but repeatedly running spellcheck and then choosing "ignore" for at least one misspelled word seems to eventually trigger the crash.

First noticed the problem with the default (redhat 7.2) version of balsa and have seen it with every version since.

aspell is aspell-0.33.7-1

Distrib is Redhat 7.2.

All packages installed from .rpm

Balsa simply dissapears and the un-sent mail is lost. The error message in the terminal window at crash time follows:

balsa: manager_impl.cc:30: void free_lt_handle (void *): Assertion `s == 0' failed.
Aborted
