This work perfectly in 2.6.19. But when I upgrade to 2.6.20 and attempt to 'save as' to any mysql database. I get:

GnuCash could not complete a critical test for the presence of a bug in the "libdbi" library. This may be caused by a permissions misconfiguration of your SQL database. Please see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/ show_bug.cgi?id=645216 for more information. Close

645216 is listed as closed/resolved for 2.4.

Thanks for taking the time to report this.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed in the code repository.

This is the primary reason for GnuCash 2.6.21. Please upgrade.
